- Start las annuity of the project, leader by Acesur, after successfully results in two previous annuities.
In this last project´s annuity, Acesur, together with, CSIC-Instituto de la Grasa (Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas), Technological Germany centre Fraunhofer, University of Turin and Portuguese entity Energy Pulses Systems, will carry out at Industrial Scale, as last step, the innovative extraction techniques tested last annuity which provided satisfying results.
It is planned to conduct all extractive trials, with autochthonous olive cultivars from locations selected for the study, at the same way than previous annuities of the project.
As consequence, PHENOILS, as well as working on development of new extraction technologies, more sustainable from economic view of the project and of the product, is closer to the purpose of obtaining Extra virgin Olive Oils with high polyphenolic content, which stand out due to its beneficial properties in health with its habitual consumption, providing prevent effects in some relevant diseases as diabetes, overweight or cardiovascular diseases, scientifically verified by several essays and studies presented in bibliography.
Full information obtained through annuities will be divulgated in diverse universities and technological centres, closing to producers, operators and students of Olive oil sector in RIS countries, highly linked to the sector as Italy, Greece and Spain as last annuity, along with the incorporation to increase dissemination, Croatia.
PHENOILS promotes bringing closer selected innovative extraction techniques to the Olive Oil sector and related personnel, providing innovations to the sector about quality and economic profitability of EVOOs processes.
